Welcome
We are so glad you are thinking about visiting our church. First Baptist Adel is dedicated to knowing Christ and making him known. Here at First Baptist, we have Sunday Schools for all ages. We believe it is important to have something for every member of the family. When you come, if you have any questions, there’s always friendly faces around to answer any questions or show you to the proper locations. My hope is that you can encounter the living God through worship and study of God’s word. Hope to see you Sunday!
Knowing Christ
We believe Christ is to be the center of all we do. Our focus is on Jesus, always. We believe that the Bible is the final authority in the matter of individuals, families, and church. We strive to know Christ through studying His word, as well as, worship.
Making Him Known
We strive to make Christ known through how we live our lives. We are committed to serving others, as it is the model God has placed for us. We are committed to serving our community by engaging our culture for the purpose of spreading the gospel to advance His Kingdom.
Salvation
Salvation is a free gift offered by God’s grace and accepted by faith. Salvation is only found through Christ Jesus. It is nothing we can earn. Instead, eternal life comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our good works. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23)
